Another thing to remember an IPO would mean a complete transparent review of exactly who owns the XRP in escrow. That to me will be very important.
The intention of an IPO is to raise money. Why would it be in their best interest to have XRP (their #1 asset) have low value? Having a low value asset does not raise the value of their company and limits the funding raised by selling shares of the company. Their goal is to raise money with an IPO… Having a low value XRP hurts Ripple’s IPO position, a high value XRP will maximize their fund raising from a IPO. Which is the whole point of the IPO move.
